Cell-mediated immunity is essential for fighting off PCV2 that has invaded cells. In a controlled study, researchers evaluated cell-mediated immunity in pigs vaccinated with one of two PCV2 vaccines then challenged with virulent PCV2d. Fostera® Gold PCV MH, a new vaccine with two PCV2 genotypes, induced the best cell-mediated immune response.

Fostera® Gold PCV MH protects pigs against PCV2a, PCV2b and M. hyo for at least 23 weeks
Fostera® Gold PCV MH, a new inactivated vaccine from Zoetis, is the only CFIA-licensed vaccine that protects pigs against porcine circovirus type 2a, PCV2b and M. hyo for at least 23 weeks, ensuring pigs are protected through the finishing stage of production. The efficacy of the new vaccine against 2d was also demonstrated in a large field trial.
